About Tamworth Cycling Club
Tamworth Cycling club is a friendly, social cycling club based in Tamworth, Staffordshire, primarily focused on road cycling. We have regular club rides throughout the week, which suit a range of abilities and the first rule of our rides is 'nobody gets left behind.' New members are always welcome to join us, with no obligation to join the club straight away. The club is welcoming of all cyclists with our current membership including a wide range of ages, from juniors to retirees, and a growing number of active female riders. For more information about joining the club see our Membership Information page.
We are affiliated to British Cycling, Cycling UK, Cycling Time Trials and BDCA. These affiliations give our members lots of benefits, such as discounted individual membership for associations and the ability to take part in open time trial events under CTT, including priority entry to BDCA organised time trials.
The club has a history of competitive cycling in the form of time trials and racing, however, over the past few years the clubs members have generally favoured social events such as Audaxes and sportives. We do have some members who do still take part in time trials, road races and cyclocross races. Check out the calendar for any upcoming events we have planned.
We also have a social evening twice a month where memers can meet up for a drink and new members can come down to meet some of the members. More information on our club night can be found here.
